What an amazing glasses buying experience! Never in my 20+ years of buying glasses have I been provided the level of service that I received at Independent Optical. I couldn't help but walk out of the building with a big smile on my face

This is a great place to get glasses. Everyone was very helpful and spent the time I needed to pick out frames.

Hands down the best eyeglass boutique in Charleston, and among the best in the country. Outstanding selection. The sales team really know their stuff and can quickly identify frames that will suit a particular face. I usually shop for eyeglasses in big international cities when traveling - NY, London, Berlin, etc. - but now there's no need when there's this world-class boutique in little ol' Charleston.

I’ve been buying eye glasses for decades and Independent Optical is BY FAR the best in terms of selection, service and just general excellence. All about the nicest, most knowledge folks you’ll ever meet. I got a pair of eye glasses and was so impressed I went back and got a pair of Rx sunglasses!

Several weeks ago I began my relationship with Independent Optical in Mt. Pleasant. I had an eye exam done by Dr. Sunkin that was the most thorough I have ever had. On that day I ordered new prescription sunglasses. From the thorough exam to final adjustments to insure proper fit, the professionals at Independent Optical have my enthusiastic approval and recommendation.

If you want something different that isn’t the run of the mill you must check it out. Customer service is great too! I’ll be back for another pair!

LOVED this Dr, the staff and the office! Dr Jake was so thorough and professional but also friendly, made me feel comfortable and confident in him! The office is just beautiful and the selection of frames was fantastic , so stylish and still reasonable, took me 5 minutes to find the perfect new frames, that’s a record of some kind!! Make an appt with him you won’t be disappointed!!

Dr Jake & staff are wonderful!! Just picked up my new contacts and they put candy in the bag for me. I know it seems small but gestures like this are what make Independent Optical so great. If you’re looking for a new optometrist, please give them a try. 10/10 recommend!
